Opportunities for Students

Student engagement is a very important part of the BES mission. Opportunities exist for students at every stage of learning --- from kindergarten through high school, to undergraduate and graduate school. Young people involved in after school, community or summer groups also are welcome to participate in our programs. Young people can learn with us and also directly contribute to answering one of the three central questions of the BES Project:
 
How can urban residents develop and use an understanding of the metropolis as an ecological system to improve the quality of their environment and their daily lives?

Kids (K-12)

Programs provided for urban youth in Baltimore City by Parks and People Foundation staff in collaboration with BES.
 

  • Super Kids Camp – summer program for elementary aged kids in Baltimore City
  • Kids Grow – summer and after school programs at Baltimore City schools
  • Branches – a summer park forestry project for high school youth
