| Abstract | This dataset is a scanned topographic map from 1914. This is a series one of a series of 7 maps, for each the extent is 1 square mile, centered in Baltimore City at the Washington Monument. The map contains information on topography, roads, railways, buildings, and ownership data. The original map was scanned and then georeferenced to high resolution IKONOS imagery. The original map was produced under Joseph W. Shirley. Map scale is 1:2400. The referenced map deviates from the imagery anywhere from 2 to 30m. Following georefferencing, the map was transformed using a first order polynomial. |
