Welcome to the Baltimore Ecosystem Studies (BES) Virtual Tour. This tour provides a detailed description of the research sites within the BES program. The tour is divided into three themes: Streams, Meteorology, and Permanent Plots. Monitoring stations range from sites in the forested and suburban watersheds of Baltimore County to sites in the heavily urbanized landscape of Baltimore City.
